Italy: Trento and Milano win advances of Round 21

Round 21 of 2024/25 Superlega CredemBanca or, if you prefer, Round 10 of second leg, started today with first two advances, won by Itas Trentino and Allianz Milano both in four sets.
In their fourth seasonal clash, as well as a remake of Coppa Italia semifinals and Club World Championship, and in front of 4.000 volleyball fans at Trento’s ilT quotidiano Arena, the hosts prevailed over Cucine Lube Civitanova with the score of 3-1 (25:14, 23:25, 25:23, 25:19).
After an easy win in first set, Civitanova reacted, but the hosts were able to find their rhythm from the service line, with 7 aces at the end of the match and in attack, with 54% of team performance. MVP Kamil Rychlicki led the charge with 19 points to his name through 54% in attack, two blocks and two aces, well supported by Daniele Lavia, who also contributed with 14 including 3 blocks and 1 ace, Alessandro Michieletto (15 through 54% in attack), but also from Jan Kozamernik (6/7 in attack). Aleksandar Nikolov was the most prolific player for Civitanova with 14 points. With this success, Trento fly to the top of the standings with 54 points, at least temporarily, waiting for tomorrow’s game between Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Vero Volley Monza.
Allianz Milano also needed four sets to win on the field of a combative Cisterna Volley, 1-3 (22:25, 23:25, 25:20, 23:25), led by opposite Ferre Reggers, who left the court with 20 points to his name, while Matey Kaziyski scored 8 points in one set! Theo Faure scored 17 points for Cisterna, who will close regular season next week with a hard trip to current last-placed Mint Vero Volley Monza.
