CEV Cup: Asseco Resovia Rzeszow and Ziraat Bank Ankara first semifinalists! Fenerbahçe and Ljubljana eliminated

Asseco Resovia Rzeszów secured a place in 2024/25 CEV Cup semifinals after defeating Fenerbahce Medicana Istanbul from Turkey 3-1 (17:25, 25:19, 25:21, 25:19) in the quarterfinal second leg.
With an identical 3-1 victory in the first leg, the Polish side successfully advanced and will face the winner of Knack Roeselare – Tours VB in the next stage of the competition.
Stephen Boyer led the charge scoring 13 for the winners through 65% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block, well supported by Klemen Cebulj, who added, and an excellent Karol Kłos, who also contributed with 9 points through 80% in attack and 5 winning blocks. Kaan Gurbuz scored 13 points on the other side of the net, closely followed by Denis Karyagin and Earvin Ngapeth who added 12 each.
In another quarterfinal game, ACH Volley Ljubljana was eliminated by Ziraat Bankasi Ankara also from Turkey, who demonstrated superiority across both matches. After winning the first leg in Slovenia 3-0, the winners secured the first two sets to guarantee their advancement and later claimed a 3-2 (25:20, 25:18, 20:25, 23:25, 15:13) victory in the second leg.
