CEV Cup: also Trentino Itas and Tours VB to semifinals!

After a four sets win in France, Italian powerhouse Trentino Itas progress to semifinals
of 2024/25 CEV Cup after a 3-0 (25:21, 25:16, 25:18) home win over Chaumont Vb 52 in second leg of quarterfinals.
With a good team performance in attack, 56%, Kamil Rychlicki with 14 points through 61% and Alessandro Michieletto (13 through 53%) led the charge, while setter Riccardo Sbertoli earned MVP honors.
Lukas Maase was the only player in double digit for an unrecognizable Chaumont.
In semifinals, Trento will face Ziraat Bankasi Ankara, currently at first place in Turkish Efeler Ligi, while France’s Tours VB will face Asseco Resovia Rzeszow from Poland, who eliminated Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul also from Turkey.
French powerhouse, after a remarkable comeback in Belgium in first leg, easily down Knack Roeselare with a clean 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:17) sweep after just 71 minutes of play in front of almost 3000 home fans at Salle Grenon.
Antoine Pothron led the charge with 12 points through 61% in attack and 1 ace, while Basil Dermaux was the most prolific player of the game scoring 18 points for Roeselare.
