Round 27 of 2024/25 Plusliga or, if you prefer, Round 12 of second leg, started today with two advances, both ended in four sets in favor of the home teams.
PGE Projekt Warszawa down Cuprum Stilon Gorzów with the score of 3-1 (25:15, 17:25, 25:21, 25:17) without major problems, losing only second set to move, at least temporarily, to second place in the standings, waiting for the big match between ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and now third-placed Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, scheduled on Sunday.
Tobias Brand led the charge with 23 points to his name through 63% in attack, 4 of his team’s 15 winning blocks, 2 aces and MVP awards, while Andrzej Wrona, who left the court with 15 points and 73% in attack, also contributed with 7 winning blocks! Chizoba Neves Atu once again was the most prolific player with 19 points for Gorzów, but he wasn’t enough.
In the evening, Ślepsk Malow Suwałki down Barkom Każany Lwów also by 3-1 (26:24, 17:25, 30:28, 25:23) in hard-fought game to earn three very important points for their playoffs run, with 23 points from top scorer and MVP Bartosz Filipiak, author of 23 points through 43% in attack, 2 blocks and 1 ace.
