Austria: Hartberg destroy Amstetten to become last semifinalist! No Games 4 needed

It was already clear on Saturday evening that defending champion HYPO TIROL volleyball team would face UVC Holding Graz in 2024/25 Powerfusion VL Men semifinals, while the second pairing has been fixed today: TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, second in regular season, will face No.3 SK Zadruga Aich/Dob!
The 2024 runners-up won their decisive Game 3 against VCA Amstetten NÖ in their Stadtwerke-Hartberg-Halle 3-0 (25:14, 25:13, 25:22).
Hartberg dominated their rivals, losing only one set in the series.
Top scorer for last year’s finalists was once again Lukas Glatz, top scorer with 17 points, well supported by Tobias Willimek, who added 15, while for Amstetten only Balazs Bibok reached a double digit, talliyng 10 points.
The other quarter-final series were already over on Saturday after three games: HYPO TIROL volleyball team gave TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien no chance, and UVC Holding Graz also advanced confidently against UVC McDonald’s Ried. SK Zadruga Aich/Dob had to fight hard in the first two duels against Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel but, after a convincing performance in the Game 3, they also claimed ticket for semi-finals without defeat.

In the relegation round, VBK Kelag Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt celebrated their second home win in 24 hours, beating the hotVolleys Vienna and UNIONvolleys Bisamberg-Hollabrunn in four sets (25:22, 25:21, 21:25, 25:16).
