Poland: Lublin destroy ZAKSA 3–0 to Book PlusLiga Semifinal Spot

In a thrilling last game of 2024/25 Plusliga quarterfinals, Bogdanka LUK Lublin stunned volleyball fans by sweeping ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3-0 (25:21, 25:21, 26:24) in decisive Game 3.
With this commanding win the winners clinched the best-of-three series 2–1 and claimed their ticket to the semifinals, where they’ll face regular season winners and defending champions Jastrzębski Węgiel who eliminated Steam Hemarpol Norwid Częstochowa in game 2.
Lublin made the difference from the first serve, showing superior teamwork, a high attack efficiency, and solid reception under pressure. Their performance included 3 aces and 11 winning blocks, edging out ZAKSA’s 2 aces and 13 blocks.
Wilfredo Leon and Kewin Sasak led the charge with 16 points each, while Mikołaj Sawicki also contributed with 13 points.
On the losing side, Bartosz Kurek fought valiantly with 19 points, and Rafał Szymura added 10, but it wasn’t enough to stop the rivals’ momentum.
Marcin Komenda was named MVP of the match for orchestrating the attack with precision, playing a decisive role in Lublin’s success.
