Poland: in advances of Round 2 2025/26, Warszawa sweep Aluron, Lublin survive to ZAKSA and Olsztyn stun Bełchatów!

Round 2 of 2025/26 Plusliga started today with first three games serving up pure volleyball drama including a dominant wins and exciting comebacks that kept amazed volleyball fans on the edge of their seats only in second round of new season!
PGE Projekt Warszawa opened the weekend in a very commanding style, sweeping Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie 3–0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:19) in big match.
The team from country’s capital looked sharp and confident, with Linus Weber leading the charge with 17 points to his name at an impressive 74% efficiency, as well as MVP award, while Bartosz Bednorz added 14.
Bartłomiej Bołądź with 15 points and Bartosz Kwolek with 11 couldn’t find a way through Warsaw’s solid block.
In Lublin, fans witnessed a five-set spectacle as the hosts Bogdanka LUK Lublin edged ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle 3-2 (21:25, 25:23, 25:20, 23:25, 15:10). Kewin Sasak led the charge with 20 points, while setter Marcin Komenda guided the team brilliantly and claimed a well deserved MVP award.
Despite Kamil Rychlicki’s 27 points, too many errors cost the defending champions the success.
The biggest upset, however, came from Bełchatów, where Indykpol AZS Olsztyn staged a dramatic comeback to beat the home team PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów 2–3 (25:21, 18:25, 25:17, 19:25, 16:18). The hosts wasted a couple of match points but failed to close the deal, and Moritz Karlitzek’s decisive performance earned him the MVP as Olsztyn celebrated a hard-fought victory. For him, 25 points including 2 blocks and 2 aces, and 56% in attack.
Round 2 will continue tomorrow with other three games: JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel will welcome Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów will face Energa Trefl Gdańsk while, in the evening, newcomers InPost ChKS Chełm will welcome Cuprum Stilon Gorzów.
