Italy: Milano sweep Cisterna in advance of Round 7
3 min read
Round 7 of 2025/26 Superlega CredemBanca started today with the advance between Cisterna Volley and Allianz Milano, ended with a clean 0-3 (21:25, 18:25, 24:26) victory in favor of the visiting side. Milano, extending their winning streak to four matches, climb temporarily to third place in the standings with the same number of points of Cucine Lube Civitanova, who tomorrow will face Sonepar Padova on the road.
The winners dominated the game with a precise, high-pressure performance, led once again by Belgian opposite Ferre Reggers, who delivered another standout display, scoring 19 points and firing seven aces, marking a personal record in the league (148 points in six games played so far in Superlega!).
Strong support came from Francesco Recine, who added 12 points, and Tatsunori Otsuka, who also contributed with 10, while setter Fernando Kreling earned MVP honors for third time in a row.
Cisterna fought hard, especially at the net, where they collected 10 blocks, but struggled in reception and couldn’t match Milano’s consistency from the service line. Daniele Mazzone was their most prolific player with 10 points to his name.
The final set delivered the most drama as Cisterna recovered from a late deficit to tie 24-24, but Reggers again closed the match with his seventh ace of the night.
Round 7 will close tomorrow with all the other games, including the big match between Itas Trentino and Sir Susa Scai Perugia.
