Poland: Round 26 continues with victories of Bełchatów, leaders Zawiercie and Resovia

After the advance played yesterday, in which ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle down last-placed Steam Hemarpol Politechnika in four sets, Round 26 of 2025/26 Plusliga continued today with other three games, delivering three notable results as Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, and PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów celebrated important victories.
League leaders Zawiercie defeated Cuprum Stilon Gorzów 3–1 (25:19, 21:25, 25:18, 25:17). to record their 19th win of the season and remain firmly on top of the standings. The home side proved more efficient in attack and also from the serve’line with 6 ace to 3 and blocks (10 to 8).
Bartłomiej Bołądź led the charge with 16 points, while Mateusz Bieniek added 15 and MVP Bartosz Kwolek left the court with 14 with 56% attacking efficiency, one ace, and three blocks. On the other side of the net, Chizoba Neves Atu scored 15 points and Krzysztof Rejno added 11.
Asseco Resovia Rzeszów secured a comfortable 3–0 (25:21, 25:16, 25:15) victory over Barkom Każany Lwów, claiming their 15th win of the season. Resovia dominated statistically, finishing with a conspicuous lead in attack (53%–39%), serve (6–1), and blocking (12–3).
Yacine Louati led the winners with 12 points, while Karol Butryn, Danny Demyanenko, and Artur Szalpuk also contributed 11 each. Setter Marcin Janusz was named MVP.
Lorenzo Pope scored 12 points on the other side of the net.
The most dramatic match of the round saw PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów who defeat Ślepsk Malow Suwałki 2–3 (22:25, 25:14, 25:19, 26:28, 11:15) in a five-set thriller. The winners even had to adjust their lineup, moving middle blocker Bartłomiej Lemański playing as opposite position from the fourth set, a change that proved to be decisive, as delivered an outstanding performance with 23 points to his name and earned the MVP honors, finishing with 69% in attack, one ace, and four blocks. Bartosz Filipiak led Suwałki with 29 points, supported by Asparuh Asparuhov who added 18 and Antoni Kwasigroch with 14 but they weren’t enough.
Round 26 will continue tomorrow with other two games: Energa Trefl Gdańsk will welcome JSW Jastrzębski Węgiel while, in big match of the day, PGE Projekt Warszawa will face BOGDANKA LUK Lublin.
