Coupe de France: Paris lift the trophy after 22 years! Nice defeated in four sets in front of 8000 volleyball fans!

Paris Volley claimed 2025/26 Coupe de France on Saturday night, defeating Nice in a hard-fought four-set final (30:28, 25:23, 24:26, 26:24) in front of 8,000 volleyball fans at Paris’ Adidas Arena.
In a match defined by razor-thin margins, with all sets ended with the minimum gap, Paris edged the first two sets before Nice responded through a strong performance from Shay Liberman, who left the court with 26 points through an impressive 75% in attack and 2 aces, winning the third set trying to re-open the game.
However, the hosts held firm in the fourth set, in which Vasili Molotkov sealed the victory with his 33rd point (at the end of the match 51% in attack, 4 aces and 1 block.
Vuk Kulpinac with 23 points (64% in attack, 1 ace and 1 block) and François Huetz, who added six blocks, also were decisive in securing the club’s fifth Coupe de France title, and their first since 2004, 22 years ago!
The hosts were also slightly better in blocking (13 to 8) and from serve’s line (9 aces to 6), in addition to show a great resilience in decisive moments of each set.
