After a tie break win in Game 1, PGE Projekt Warszawa take the lead in 2025/26 Plusliga best-of-five series for 3rd Place with a 1-3 (18:25, 14:25, 25:20, 18:25) success on the field of Asseco Resovia Rzeszow.
Aleksander Śliwka, who joined the winners as joker medical after the injury of Bartosz Bednorz in Game 1, made his debut in third set and scored his first point with the jersey of Warszawa, while Bartosz Gomułka and MVP Bartosz Firszt (55% in attack and 6 of his team’s 20 winning blocks!) led the charge with 20 (59% in attack, 1 block and 2 aces) and 18 points, respectively.
Karol Butryn top-scored the hosts with 19 points to his name, and he was the only player in double digit for Resovia.
Decisive Game 3 in country’s capital already on Saturday, May 3.
