Poland: Lublin one step towards second title in a row! Aluron defeated in straight sets on the road

After an almost one-sided Game 1 won by Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in straight sets, and Bogdanka LUK Lublin able to tie series 1-1, 2025/26 Plusliga best-of-five final continued today with another success of Lublin, this time on the field of the rivals, putting them in a strong position to celebrate second title in a row.
Mateusz Malinowski led the charge with 13 points to his name through 62% in attack an 3 blocks, well supported by Wilfredo Leon and Jackson Young (including 4 blocks)who added 11 each.
Aaron Russell and Bartłomiej Bołądź were the last one to surrender scoring 19 points for the hosts (64% in attack and 3 aces) and 14 for the hosts, but their efforts were not enough to stop Lublin’s momentum.
Thus the relatively young club based in Lublin (founded in 2013 but is one step toward second title in club’s history after the one conquered last season against the same rivals!
Now the series will move to Lublin where, on Wednesday, May 6, the hosts will welcome Aluron for Game 4.
