After an almost one-sided Game 1 won by Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie in straight sets, Bogdanka LUK Lublin able to tie series 1-1, and again Lublin who won Game 3 on the road, 2025/26 Plusliga best-of-five final continued today with a great 1-3 (26:24, 20:25, 23:25, 20:25) away by regular season winners Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie!
After an exciting and very balanced first set won by the home team, Aluron reacted in the middle of second one, recovering from a -2 and close it 20-25 thanks to a great performance in key moments. Third set was a drama, with Lublin ahead 16-12, and then the rivals’ comeback until a final 23-25, while fourth one was controlled from start to finish by Aluron, who made the difference above all in blocking, scoring 13 points from this element compared to the hosts’ 5, and with Bartłomiej Bołądź who earned MVP honors with 22 points to his name through 59% in attack, 1 ace and 5 blocks.
Wilfredo Leon topped all scorers with 25 points, 64% in attack, 1 block and 3 aces, but he wasn’t enough against a more resilient rival.
On Sunday, May 10, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will welcome Bogdanka LUK Lublin for decisive Game 5 for the title!
