Incredible but true: we’ve already reached the eighteenth episode of VolleyBar!
First of all, thank you for the support you show us every single day, especially in light of the various plagiarism incidents and the unauthorized Italian translations of our content.

Today, we begin by talking about Poland.
Canadian outside hitter Isaac Heslinga joins Norwid Częstochowa.
The 24-year-old Canadian national team outside hitter has experience competing at the highest level of university volleyball, representing Canada’s development programs, and taking his first steps in European volleyball.
This will be his first season in the PlusLiga, although playing in Poland has long been one of his sporting dreams.

Playing in the PlusLiga has always been one of my goals, so when Norwid Częstochowa contacted me, I didn’t have to think twice,” he said.

The Canadian spent five seasons with the Alberta Golden Bears, one of Canada’s most prestigious university programs. He then represented Canada NextGen and Canada NextGen U23, the direct pathway to the senior national team. During the 2025/26 season, he moved to Europe after signing with French powerhouse Tours VB.

I know Poland loves volleyball, and I’m really excited to play in front of Polish fans. I want to help Norwid climb to the top of the league and establish itself as a strong force in the PlusLiga,” added.

Meanwhile, Wojciech Włodarczyk will spend a second season with GKS Katowice. The 35-year-old outside hitter appeared in 30 matches during the campaign that ended with promotion to the PlusLiga, earning MVP honours on four occasions.
Throughout his career, he has represented clubs including Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom, LUK Lublin, and PSG Stal Nysa, but he also gained valuable experience in Italy with BCC Castellana Grotte and Kioene Padova.

The last daily news is that Kamil Rychlicki will be new opposite of defending champions Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. The 29-year-old member of the Italian national team won the World Championship and claimed silver in the Volleyball Nations League during the most recent international season.
In the 2025/2026 PlusLiga season, he made an immediate impact, finishing as the league’s top scorer and leading the ranking of opposite hitters with the jersey of ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-KoÅŗle.

ā€œI think Zawiercie proved just how strong it is, both in PlusLiga and on the international stage. That was certainly the main reason why I decided to make this move and continue my journey in the Polish league next season,ā€ he said.

ā€œI expect it to be a demanding season, especially as Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will be defending the Polish championship title. I believe that together with the team and our fans, we will experience many great moments and plenty of emotions,ā€ added.

In Italy, as anticipated for several months, it is now finally official: Simeon Nikolov is the new setter of Cucine Lube Civitanova, as confirmed by the player himself!

I’m really excited about this. I’ve always wanted to be with Alex in the same club in Italy. The goal is to fight for gold. There’s always pressure at Cucine Lube, but I think I’ll handle it — it’s already normal for me,” he said.

A new chapter so begins for the young Bulgarian setter, made even more special by the opportunity to play alongside his brother Alex at club level.

Meanwhile, reigning champions Perugia have confirmed Argentine middle blocker Agustƭn Loser for next season and, at the same time, Verona-born outside hitter Giulio Magalini has become the fourth new addition to Cisterna Volley for the 2026/27 season, signing a two-year contract following the arrivals of Chinese middle blocker Shikung Peng, libero Filippo Federici, and Colombian opposite Miguel Ɓngel Martƭnez.

I chose Cisterna because I believe in the project. Everyone I spoke to who knows this club had nothing but positive things to say. Here I found enthusiasm, ambition, and the right environment to start again,” were his first words with the new club.

In addition, outside hitter Alessandro Bristot, who spent the 2025/26 season in Trento, is a new Padova player.

In France, after joining Paris Volley midway through the season, head coach Mauricio Motta Paes is leaving the team.
With all his top-level experience, he brought high standards, passion, and expertise to the Paris squad throughout his time at the club.
Meanwhile, Maxime Hervoir, after a campaign crowned with success and a French championship title, leaves Montpellier as a Champion of France.
And Brazilian opposite Daniel Bala, last season with the jersey of Ajaccio, joins Spacer’s Toulouse.

Germany: Andrea Anastasi is back with a new challenge. The legendary Italian coach has been appointed head coach of Berlin Recycling Volleys, while in Brazil, having been with Sada Cruzeiro since the 2019/20 season, middle blocker OtĆ”vio is set to begin his eighth campaign wearing the club’s jersey.
