Today, the CEV officially confirmed the dates, venues and match times for the 2026 European League Semi-finals.

The action gets underway on Saturday, June 28, 2026 at the SaZa Topsporthal in Doetinchem, where, at 15:00, first-ranked The Netherlands will host Israel. Both matches will be played at the same venue due to the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
The Netherlands are the only team, together with Slovenia in the women’s competition, to have completed a flawless campaign, winning all six of their matches without dropping a single set.
Their opponents, Israel, bronze medallists in the 2025 Golden League, also finished the preliminary round with six wins and 17 points, the same tally as Denmark, but with a lower set ratio. Nevertheless, this achievement confirms the steady and impressive progress made by the team under head coach Itamar Stein.
After taking part in the 2023 European Championship, which was co-hosted by Israel, the national team will also compete in the 2026 and 2028 editions, reaching an unprecedented milestone: three consecutive appearances at Europe’s most prestigious volleyball tournament.
While their participation in 2023 came thanks to their status as hosts, qualification for the subsequent editions was earned on the court through successful qualifying campaigns, proving that Israel are no longer occasional participants at this level, but a team capable of securing their place against strong opposition from across Europe.
The second leg is scheduled for the following day, Sunday, June 29, 2026, at 13:00.

The second semi-final will feature No. 2 Finland and No. 3 Denmark. The first leg will also be played on Saturday, at 17:00, in Denmark, more precisely at the Odense Idrætshal.
Finland got the job done with six wins and 18 points, one more than third-placed Denmark, while conceding only three sets throughout the competition so far. In doing so, Finland remain in contention for another continental triumph, having won the European Golden League last year.
The second leg in Finland, at the AGCO Power Arena in Nokia, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 18:15.

It is also worth noting that all four teams have already secured their places at EuroVolley 2028, where they will join one of the co-hosts, Montenegro.
