We begin today’s edition in Poland.
As we anticipated yesterday in our Official World Transfers 2026/27 update, ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle has officially signed Dutch middle blocker Fabian Plak, a player many fans will already know from his performances with the Netherlands men’s national team.

Elsewhere, Cuprum Stilon Gorzów has announced the departure of middle blocker Hubert Węgrzyn after two seasons with the club.
He joined the team ahead of the 2024/25 season and quickly earned a reputation for his commitment and professionalism, consistently giving his all in every match and training session. During his time in Gorzów, he was part of countless memorable moments that have become part of the club’s recent history.
In its farewell message, the club thanked him for his dedication, daily hard work, and the pride with which he represented Cuprum Stilon over the past two seasons, wishing him the very best for the next chapter of his volleyball career.

Meanwhile, Bogdanka LUK Lublin celebrated the birthday of club president Krzysztof Skubiszewski.

Finally, ChKS Chełm confirmed another important piece of its roster for the upcoming season. Middle blocker Mariusz Marcyniak, who has been with the club since 2022, has officially extended his stay and will continue wearing the ChKS Chełm jersey throughout the 2026–27 campaign.

After an impressive season in Poland’s PlusLiga with the jersey of Bogdanka LUK Lublin, French outside hitter Hilir Henno appeared destined for a move to Padova. However, plans have changed, and the 22-year-old will now spend the 2026–27 season in China!

Joining from Martigues, he arrives with a wealth of experience. This summer, he was part of the French U18 National Team coaching staff, helping guide the team to the CEV U18 European Championship final.

But there’s another story that’s making headlines across the volleyball world. One of the biggest controversies in volleyball this summer has erupted between Turkish international Adis Lagumdzija and two-time Olympic champion Earvin Ngapeth, and the latter replied.

About international volleyball, Cambodia Men’s Volleyball Team receives cash rewards after historic SEA V Cup triumph.
Hanuman Beverages and entrepreneur Dana Try have each donated US$10,000 to the Cambodia Men’s National Volleyball Team following their championship victory at the 6th SEA V Cup – Leg 1.
In addition, Wurkz Beverages donated 50 million Cambodian riels to the team in recognition of their historic achievement in capturing their first-ever SEA V Cup Leg 1 title.
The company also pledged an additional 50 million Cambodian riels if Cambodia wins the SEA V Cup – Leg 2 championship in Indonesia.

However, according to official reports, the 6th Men’s SEA V Cup – Leg 1 will not award FIVB World Ranking points.
If we check the official FIVB Calendar, only Leg 2 of the men’s competition is registered. In contrast, both Leg 1 and Leg 2 of the women’s SEA V Cup are listed on the FIVB Calendar, making both legs eligible for FIVB World Ranking points.
In the previous edition, both legs of the men’s tournament awarded FIVB WR points.
This means Cambodia is expected to receive no FIVB World Ranking points despite winning the Leg 1 championship.
