The road to the European crown will end in Milano.

The CEV and the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) have confirmed that the semi-finals and medal matches of the CEV Enel EuroVolley 2026 Men will be played at the iconic Unipol Forum in Assago, bringing the most important moments of the tournament to one of Italy’s most spectacular indoor arenas.
The final weekend remains scheduled for September 25 and 26, with a small adjustment to the starting times: the two matches on each day will now begin at 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

Four teams will arrive in Milan with European glory within touching distance.
Two semi-finals will determine the finalists, before the winners meet for the continental crown and the defeated teams fight for bronze.
But there will be more than a European title at stake: the tournament also represents an important step on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, with a coveted Olympic qualification opportunity on the line.

And there may be few better places in Italy to stage such a finale than the Unipol Forum.
Located in Assago, just outside Milan, the arena has become one of the country’s most recognisable indoor venues, capable of accommodating thousands of spectators and regularly transforming itself from a concert hall into a major sporting arena. Earlier this year, it took on another identity altogether, serving as the Milano Ice Skating Arena during the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, hosting the figure skating and short track speed skating competitions.

But the Forum already has a particularly strong connection with volleyball.

It has repeatedly welcomed Allianz Milano, the club born from Powervolley Milano, for some of the biggest home events of the Italian SuperLega. In November 2024, Allianz Milano hosted Sir Susa Vim Perugia at the Forum in front of 8,851 spectators, making the match the fourth-highest-attended regular-season game in SuperLega history at the time. Perugia eventually won 3-1, but the numbers told another story: Milan had once again demonstrated its appetite for major volleyball events.

The figure is even more impressive when placed in historical context. The current regular-season attendance record in SuperLega was also set by Milano at the same venue: 12,493 spectators watched Milano face Modena in January 2019.

The tradition continued in the 2025/26 season, when Allianz Milano returned to the Unipol Forum for a high-profile clash with reigning Italian champions Itas Trentino. The match on November 30 attracted 7,635 fans, with Trentino taking a 3-0 victory.

Those numbers underline why the choice of Assago feels particularly fitting. This is not simply a large arena being used for a major tournament: it is a venue that has already proved that Milanese fans will turn up in their thousands when the biggest names in volleyball come to town.

EuroVolley will now raise the stakes considerably.

Across four matches on September 25 and 26, the Unipol Forum will become the centre of European men’s volleyball. The atmosphere should be very different from the regular-season nights of SuperLega, with national colours replacing club jerseys and an entire continent watching as the final four teams fight for medals.
For the players, it will be the ultimate stage. For the fans, it will be a chance to see European volleyball history being written in one of Italy’s most famous arenas.
And for Milan, it will be another chapter in a sporting year unlike any other.
After welcoming the world of winter sport during Milano Cortina 2026 and regularly hosting Italy’s biggest basketball and volleyball events, the Unipol Forum will close the EuroVolley journey by crowning the new kings of Europe.

Four teams. Two days. One European crown.
Milan is ready.
