After the advance played on Tuesday, in which Energa Indykpol AZS Olsztyn celebrated their return to Hala Urania in style, defeating NEONET Norwid Częstochowa in straight sets, and other two games played on Wednesday, Round 2 of new 2026/27 Tauron Liga continued today with other two games.

Ślepsk Malow Suwałki suffered a second consecutive loss at tie-break against GKS Katowice after 154 minutes of play in front of 1500 spectators, despite 30 points from Bartosz Filipiak and Bulgarian international Asparuh Asparuhov who finished with 23 points to his name through 44% in attack, 5 blocks and 1 ace.
Interestingly, Suwałki outperformed their opponent in several key elements: the hosts made 62 successful attacks against 59, and the difference in blocks was even more significant – 16:7, while both teams finished with 4 aces each.
The number of errors proved crucial.
Katowice received a total of 33 points from the hosts’ mistakes, against 24 from the opponents.
For the winners, the most effective player was MVP Michal Superlak with 23 points, followed by Jakub Szymanski with 17 and Matthew Knigge with 13.
Katowice continued thus their excellent start in the Tauron Liga, after surprising the champion Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie with a 3:0 victory in the first round. For Suwałki, this is a second consecutive 2-3 loss, with Piotr Graban’s team remaining with two points in the standings and the defeat represents another frustrating result after their opening-round five-set loss to Jastrzębie Barkom. Although the team earned a point in both matches, they are still waiting for their first victory of the season.

Jastrzębie Barkom, meanwhile, followed up their opening-weekend success in Suwałki with another three-point haul, this time against Stilon Gorzów.
The visitors set the tone by winning the first set 25-17, then held off Gorzów’s challenge in the second, 25-22, before closing out the match 25-21.
The straight-sets result gives Barkom further momentum at the beginning of the campaign. Gorzów, who began their season with a five-set victory over ChKS Chełm, were unable to reproduce that winning form on home court.
