After the advance played yesterday, in which Stilon Gorzów won at tie break on the field of Energa Trefl Gdańsk, Round 4 of 2026/27 Tauron Liga continued today with other two games.

Wednesday’s fourth round of 2026/27 Tauron Liga Regular Season brought two compelling four-set matches, with Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and BOGDANKA LUK Lublin both showing their resilience after falling behind. While Zawiercie gradually took control against Energa Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, Lublin had to withstand a determined challenge from PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów, with three consecutive sets decided by narrow margins.

Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie were forced to respond after Energa Indykpol AZS Olsztyn claimed the opening set 25–23. The reigning Polish champions found their rhythm in the second set, winning 25–20, before producing a more dominant performance in the third, which ended 25–16. Olsztyn attempted to stay in contention in the fourth, but Warta maintained their advantage and closed out the match 25–20 for a 3–1 victory.
Aaron Russell led the winners’ scoring with 20 points to his name, closely followed by Tomasz Fornal, who contributed 19. Arthur Szwarc and Paweł Halaba were Olsztyn’s main offensive threats, finishing with 18 and 19 points respectively. Libero Jakub Popiwczak was named MVP, recognising his contribution to the home side’s comeback. Zawiercie’s performance was particularly effective in attack and at the net, allowing them to turn an initially difficult match into a convincing victory.

The evening’s second encounter, between BOGDANKA LUK Lublin and PGE GiEK SKRA Bełchatów, proved even more dramatic. Bełchatów made an impressive start, taking the first set 27–25 and putting the unbeaten hosts under pressure. Lublin responded with a 25–20 win in the second, but the decisive moments came in the following sets, both of which extended beyond the regular 25 points.
The third set was a tense battle, with the lead repeatedly changing hands. Lublin eventually prevailed 26–24, after Wilfredo León helped the hosts withstand a set-point opportunity for Bełchatów before Mikołaj Sawicki finished the decisive attack. The fourth set followed a similar pattern: Bogdanka appeared close to closing out the match at 24–21, but SKRA fought back to force another extended finish. Lublin ultimately secured the set 26–24, completing a 3–1 victory.
Sawicki was named MVP after an outstanding 22-point performance, including three aces. León also finished with 22 points, providing crucial support in the closing stages. For Bełchatów, Brazilian opposite Alan Souza led the scoring with 15 points, while the visitors’ aggressive approach and strong blocking kept them competitive throughout the match.
The result marked Bogdanka LUK Lublin’s fourth consecutive league victory, preserving their unbeaten record and keeping them at the top of the standings. Bełchatów, meanwhile, showed that they can challenge the league’s leading teams, even if they were unable to convert their opportunities in the two decisive sets.

Round 4 will continue tomorrow with the clash between PGE Projekt Warszawa and Ślepsk Malow Suwałki.
