Italy: Milano destroy Trento in Game 3 of Final for 3rd place to take the lead in the series!

After two exciting games both ended at tie break in favor of the home team, in Game 3 of 2023/24 Superlega CredemBanca Final for 3rd place field advantage was not respected, as Allianz Milano managed to win at Trento’s ilT quotidiano Arena against the hosts Itas Trentino in just three sets, 0-3 (22:25, 23:25, 14:25).
With this success, the players around head coach Roberto Piazza obtained the chance to close the best-of-five series in front of their home fans on Saturday evening.
For Superlega defending champions this was 5th home defeat, and today they suffered the rivals’ play, led by MVP and top scorer Yuki Ishikawa and Osniel Mergarejo, who left the court with 18, and 14 points, respectively.
Kamil Rychlicki and Giulio Magalini scored 10 points each for the hosts, tonight never decisive in crucial moments of the game.
