VNL 2024: Pool stage is over! Final standings and who will in Finals in Łódź

In an exciting finale of the Volleyball Nations League Preliminary Phase, leaders Slovenia triumphed over Serbia with a 2-3 victory (13:25, 27:25, 14:25, 25:22, 12:15) at their home court in Ljubljana.
The match was a show in a full-packed Stožice Arena, with Slovenia overcoming a late 8-10 deficit in the fifth set to secure the victory. Serbia, already qualified for the Olympics, needed a win to make it to the final tournament but fell short.
Slovenia’s victory marks their 11th win in 12 matches, and the final VNL tournament kicks off next week in Łódź, Poland.
In earlier match, Italy closed the Volleyball Nations League Preliminary Phase with a 3-1 victory (25:21, 24:26, 25:19, 25:21) over last-placed Turkey.
This win places them third in the standings, boasting 9 victories and 27 points, to clinch their spot in the Quarterfinals against France. Alessandro Bovolenta led the winners with 25 points, while Turkey’s top scorer, Adis Lagumdzija, earned 20 points.
On the same Pool, all easy for Poland over Cuba, 0-3 (17:25, 20:25, 20:25) while, in Manila, The Philippines, straight sets win for Germany over Iran, 3-0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:20) and for Japan, over USA, 3-0 (25:20, 25:23, 25:19).
France, on the other hand, down Brazil with the score of 3-2 (25:23, 27:29, 13:25, 25:19, 18:16)
