After the advance played yesterday, in which defending champions Sir Susa Scai Perugia continued their impressive start with a convincing 0-3 (16:25, 17:25, 22:25) victory over Vero Volley Monza at the Opiquad Arena, Round 3 of 2026/27 SuperLega Credem Banca has been completed today with the remaining five games, with several important developments at both ends of the standings. Valsa Group Modena finally celebrated their first league victory, defeating Rana Verona in four sets, while Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, Cucine Lube Civitanova and Itas Trentino all maintained their unbeaten records. Allianz Milano also claimed a convincing straight-set victory over Pallavolo Padova.

The biggest story of the day came from the PalaPanini, where Modena produced a strong comeback to defeat Rana Verona 3-1 (22:25, 25:16, 25:16, 28:26). After losing the opening set, Lorenzo Tubertini’s team completely changed the momentum of the match, dominating the next two sets before surviving a tense fourth-set battle to secure their first three points of the season.
Luca Porro was the outstanding performer, finishing as the match’s top scorer with 19 points and earning MVP honours. His service was particularly devastating, with nine aces, including five in the second set alone. Nik Mujanović added 17 points, while middle blocker Gabriele Di Martino contributed 12 in an important performance. On the Verona side, Paul Buchegger was the leading scorer with 17 points, followed by Rok Možič with 11. The visitors had started well, but were unable to maintain their level after taking the first set. They came close to forcing a deciding fifth set, only for Modena to close the contest 28-26.

At the Allianz Cloud, Allianz Milano recorded a comfortable 3-0 victory over Pallavolo Padova (25:15, 25:21, 25:18). The home side controlled the encounter from the beginning, with MVP Basil Dermaux leading the scoring with 17 points. Tatsunori Otsuka and middle blocker Simon added nine. Padova struggled to find consistency against Milano’s pressure, with Amin Golzadeh finishing as their top scorer with 13 points, while Francesco Bergamasco added nine. The victory gives Milano their second league win and moves them to five points, while Padova remain without a point after four matches.

Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza continued their excellent start with a 3-1 away victory over Cisterna Volley (25:17, 23:25, 25:22, 25:23). Alessandro Bovolenta was the decisive figure for the visitors, producing a match-high 23 points. Piacenza took control of the opening set, but Cisterna responded in the second, levelling the match at 1-1. The visitors then showed greater composure in the decisive moments of the third and fourth sets to secure another three points. Giulio Magalini was Cisterna’s leading scorer with 18 points, while opposite Bovolenta once again demonstrated his importance to Piacenza’s attack. The result keeps the Emilia-Romagna side unbeaten, with three victories from three matches.

Cucine Lube Civitanova also maintained their perfect record, overcoming Acqua Sant’Anna Cuneo 3-1 on the road (25:21, 21:25, 25:21, 25:22). The result was particularly significant because Cuneo became the first team to take a set off the last season runners-up. After winning the opening set, Lube were caught by a determined home side in the second, with Cuneo claiming a 25-21 victory. The visitors, however, regained control and won the next two sets to complete the job. Aleksandar Nikolov led Civitanova with 20 points, while Eric Loeppky added 15 and Mattia Bottolo 11. For Cuneo, opposite Nathan Feral delivered an impressive 22-point performance, supported by Khanzadeh with 14. Despite the defeat, the home side showed that they can compete with the league’s leading teams.

Itas Trentino rounded off the day with a convincing 3-0 victory away to Tinet Prata di Pordenone (25:22, 25:20, 25:18). Marcelo Mendez’s team maintained control throughout the encounter, taking three points without allowing the hosts to build sustained pressure. Adriano led the charge with 15 points to his name, followed by opposite Theo Faure with 14. For Prata, Kirill Klets finished with 13 points, while Lukas Bergmann and Wout D’Heer added nine apiece. Trentino have now won all three of their league matches without dropping a set, confirming their strong early-season form.

Following the third round, Sir Susa Scai Perugia remain at the top of the standings with 11 points, having already played four matches, including their advanced fixture against Monza. Trentino, Piacenza and Civitanova are all on nine points and remain unbeaten after three outings. Allianz Milano follow with five points, while Modena’s first victory takes them to three. At the other end of the table, Monza and Padova are still searching for their first points, with Padova having played one match more than most of their rivals.
The next round is scheduled for November 4, when another important series of fixtures will test the early leaders. Among the highlights will be the meeting between Itas Trentino and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, while Civitanova host Modena and Perugia welcome Cisterna.
