Brazil: Montes Claros stuns Taubatè: the last semifinalist will be decided in Game 3!

2 min read

After the incredible elimination of Sada Cruzeiro, Funvic Taubaté also misses in Game 2 of the Superliga quarter-finals. Bruninho (benched in the fourth and fifth set) & Co., very foul with 45 errors and unable to be effective from the service line and in blocking, win only the first 2 sets against Montes Claros America who, even to a set from the elimination, they continue to believe it and, led by the opposite Lucas Borges (voted MVP of the match) snatch the match to the tie-break. Even in the decisive set, Funvic Taubaté continues to collect point errors (as many as 7) and therefore fails to limit their opponents who in the end thank for Mauricio Borges’ error in reception (ball in the net, 14:12) and one by Felipe Roque (15:13) that close the match.
To decide the last semifinalist, Game 3 will be needed, and the date and venue could be subject to variations due to the ban on sports events in the state of Sao Paulo.
