Minas, with Cuban opposite Escobar awarded MVP again as in Game 1 thanks to his 27 points with 63% in attack and 45% efficiency, is the first sefinalist of the Brazilian Superliga after defeating Blumenau 3-1 in Game 2 of the best-of-three serie.
The winners dominated the first 2 sets, but after a good 3rd set start (2:6) they complicated their lives by favoring the return of Blumenau who, in the final of the 3rd set (after being ahead 23:21) canceled a match point at 23:24 and closed due to errors by Honorato and Escobar (26:24). The fourth set was very hard fought with Blumenau (good game of the opposite Franco Paese, author of 22 points with 60% in attack and 40% efficiency) who had 4 chances to go to the tie-break (24:23, 26:25, 27:26, 28:27), but in the end Juninho’s block (28:29), entered in place of Pinta, and Evandro’s invasion (28:30) after a frantic exchange ended the game.
