Italy. Summary of Superlega’s round 3!

It was a stunning match in the second round opening game, and after a five-set thriller in Milano, Latina prevail! The top scorer of the match was Alessandro Tondo with 24 points, while Trevor Clevenot added 20. On the winning side, Toncek Stern scored 22 points, Garmelo Gitto 16 and Alberto Palacio 15!
In the big match of the day, Perugia let Trentino win one set and then Leon and Atanasijevic destroyed the rival!
It was a super exciting team in Perugia, where the home team managed to recover after an almost devaatating first set. As of the start of the second set, Wilfredo Leon and Aleksandar Atanasijevic took the responsibility and led their team to a convincing 3-1 victory!
Wilfredo Leon has ended the match with 26 points including 4 aces while Atanasijevic scored 19 points, including the same number of aces. On the other side, Aaron Russell has ended the match with 15 points, while Uros Kovacevic and Srecko Lisinac had 12 points each.
Lube Civitanova also had a difficult match against Verona away. They also had to make a comeback and managed to it and to win the match. Siena are still waiting her first victory in italian Superlega. They suffered a 3-2 defeat against Sora at the home court. Fernando Hernandes had an amazing match, scoring 34 points but it was not enough for the victory, and Yuki Ishikawa added 17. On the other side Dusan Petkovic also had a great performance, finishing the match with 27 points!
Victory also for Monza, 3:1 in Vibo Valentia’s field and for Padova, 3:1 at home against Castellana Grotte.
