The Cuban Volleyball Federation (FCV) announced the entry of volleyball players Roberlandy Simón, Michael Sánchez and Raydel Hierrezuelo into their player’s register. So the trio officially returned to the Cuban national team.
In this way, Simón, Sánchez, and Hierrezuelo are eligible to compete again with Cuba national team in international tournaments. Recall that the trio held a meeting more than a month ago with the board of the FCV to request their reinstatement to the national team, in which it was agreed to assess the cases of these three players.
“The Cuban Volleyball Federation has decided, after carrying out the relevant analyzes and in accordance with the rules established in our country and by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), to approve the inclusion of Roberlandy Simón, Michael Sánchez, and Raydel Hierrezuelo in their registration of players,” it is said the note that the national volleyball federation of the Caribbean country issued and Cuban media published.
The FCV added that now it is up to them as an institution to inform the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) of the step that was taken to make them definitely eligible to play for Cuba.
“Then, the analysis will come about their preparation process and the competitive objectives in which they will be involved, fundamentally concerning the Olympic Qualifications and some other high-level competition,” the FCV also posted.
