Germany is the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2019 CEV European Volleyball Championship.
Vice-champions outplayed co-hosts the Netherlands in four sets in front of the packed stand at the Omnisport hall in Apeldoorn (3,200 spectators). 25:17, 25:22, 30:32, 25:23. Thus, Germany prevented the Netherlands to qualify for the top 8 even after 10 years.
