Fenerbahçe HDI Sigorta prevailed over Arkas Spor in a derby of Round 3 of the 2019/20 Turkish Efelerligi regular season: they beat the home side of Arkas in straight sets, partially 26:24, 25:17 and 25:20, and maintained their perfect record. The first set, in which the hosts dropped the lead of 3-4 points, turned to be crucial for the outcome of the match. The French national team member Thibault Rossard was the top scorer for Fenerbahçe with 16 points, while Cuban Salvador Hidalgo Oliva made 73% reception (22 digs, 41% perfect). Adis Lagumdžija scored 16 points for Arkas, who suffered their first defeat in the season.

With 15 points each, Estonian Oliver Venno (with 6 aces!) and Burutay Subaşı helped Galatasaray HDI Sigorta to surpass Tokat Belediye Plevne in straight sets. After all of today’s results, Galatasaray lead the group of four unbeaten teams in the standings.
Surprisingly, Spor Toto (former Maliye Piyango) are again in this group of undefeated sides. This is mostly due to the fact that they have the league’s single-set most productive player. Ugandan Daudi Okello scored 24 points against Arhavi Voleybol and made an average of 6.3 points per set, which put him in front of Fenerbahçe’s Dutchman Wouter ter Maat (6.27).
The most-titled Efeler Ligi team, counting those who still exist, Halkbank achieved their first victory this season. By scoring 17 points, Gökhan Gökgöz was the most prolific player for the awakening of his team, which came against rivals who did not suffer a single loss prior to the match – Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi (partially 25:22, 25:16, 25:18).
