2 min read

Tonight 3 advances of French Ligue A Round 17 were played. All three games ended in four sets, with Nantes and Tourcoing who win at home, and Montpellier away, against Paris, Narbonne and Cannes respectively.
In detail, Nantes take its fourth consecutive victory, beating Paris in four sets at home. For Paris, however, it is the fourth consecutive defeat. Once again, Michalovic was the best ever, with another superlative performance: 22 points for the Slovak opposite, including an ace, and with 62% attacking, while Overbeeke scored 16 points on the other side.
After the unexpected home defeat against Toulouse, Montpellier returns to the victory in Cannes, led by the outside hitter Mihajlo Stankovic, top scorer of the match with 19 points, including 3 winning blocks and 3 aces and with 68% in attack. Kevin Kaba also contributed with 4 of the winners’ 11 winning blocks, compared to the 5 for Cannes. The hosts fought relatively, but it was not enough because the rivals were superior in all. Middleblocker Danijel Koncilja top-scored for the home side with 17 points (1 block and 4 aces, and 86% in attack!). PHOTOGALLERY OF THE MATCH HERE.
Tourcoing’s home win over Narbonne in four sets closes the picture on the advances. Ronald Jimenez was the top scorer for the winners with 19 points and 65% in the attack, while on the other side of the net Yordan Bisset scored the same number of points.
