1 min read

OK Calcit Kamnik from Slovenia clinched their ticket for the Mevza League Final Four tournament with a clear 3-0 (25:19, 25:21, 25:21) away win over Austria’s SK Zadruga AICH/DOB on Sunday evening. Alongside Calcit Kamnik, table leaders OK MERKUR Maribor (SLO) and hosts Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel (AUT) are already qualified for this season’s final four, scheduled for February 27 and 28 at the Zwettl sports hall.
Calcit Kamnik’s Mitja Gasparini was the top scorer of the match with 15 points, including 4 aces, while Konrad Formela made 11 for the home team. With this victory, Calcit Kamnik moved up to second place in the current standing with 22 points, leapfrogging ACH Volley Ljubljana. The defending champions are just one point away from securing their participation in the final four. SK Zadruga AICH/DOB, on the other hand, have only a very small chance for reaching the tournament.
