2 min read

In their last match of the MEVZA League Main Round, Calcit Kamnik defeats Mladost Zagreb on their home soil in straight sets (25:17, 25:19, 25:11) to confirm at this moment their current second place in competition (but with three matches more than third-placed ACH Volley Ljubljana).
The hosts, in any case, had already secured a place in the final four tournament which will take place on 27 and 28 February in Zwettl.
In the first set, the result was tied only to the fifth point, and after two successful attacks by Mitja Gasparini and a block by Martin Kosmina, the Zagreb team was three points behind (8:5). The hosts gained a decisive advantage thanks to Kosmina’s serve, when they increased the lead from 15:13 to 19:13. Timotej Gal Kos scored the last point with an ace. Also in the second set, the Kamnik team continued to play very well especially in attack, with Kosmina who put down the ball of 17:10.
The great team performance of Kamnik also started well in the third set, in which they escaped the Zagreb team by four points with the ace of Rok Jerončič (7:3), and the ace by Sašo Štalekar signs the 12:7. The last point of the match was scored by the most efficient player of the match, Martin Kosmina. The Mevza League path come into a end for Mladost, who have only two victories on their account.
