Austria: Waldviertel end season in 3rd place! Ried and Sokol will fight for 5th place

Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel confirmed their favorite role in the duel with VCA Amstetten NÖ for third place in DenizBank AG VL 20/21. After a clear 3-0 on Wednesday in their Stadthalle Zwettl, they won also yesterday with tha same result. Partially it was 25:22, 25:19, 25:16.
Top scorers of the winners were Marek Sulc (13) and Martin Licek (12), while Eduardo Romay (15) and Maximilian Schober (7) were the most prolific players on the other side of the net.
The numbers are also clear, all in favor of the winners: attack points 40 to 28, attack rate 51% to 39%, aces 8 to 0, blocks 8 to 6.

The rival of UVC Weberzeile Ried in the fight for fifth place is TJ Sokol Wien V, who once again demonstrated a big fighting spirit in the third and decisive duel with VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt in the Posthalle, winning after a 0:2 set deficit at the tie-break (15:25, 22:25, 25:23, 25:20, 15:10).
