Challenger Cup: winning debut for Cuba and South Korea

2022 FIVB Challenger Cup started today in Seoul, South Korea, the tournament that is worth, for the winners, a place in 2023 Volleyball Nations League.
In first match of the day, winning debut for a decimated Cuba (without Simon and Osoria for COVID, and Yant and Alonso injured, with the latter recovered in extremis), who defeated Chile in straight sets, without major problems (25:20 25:19 25:19) Top scorer of the match Herrera. 16 points for new opposite of Superlega side Perugia.
The other semifinalists are the hosts of Korea. In front of 4200 home fans, the Asians defeated Australia at tie break (23:25 25:23 25:18 22:25 15:13), led by opposite Su-Bong, absolute top scorer of the game with 33 points, well supported by outside-hitter Gyeong-bok, who contributed with 20 point.
On the other side of the net Lorenzo Pope was the most prolific player with 17 points to his name.
