Challenger Cup: Cuba defeat Turkey in four sets to take a ticket for VNL 2023!

Cuba won 2022 edition of FIVB Challenger Cup to take a ticket for Volleyball Nations League 2023.
After over 10 years (since World Championship 2010 in Italy), Caribbean volleyball back to the great volleyball scenario, and not only due the escape of their champions (Juantorena, Leal, Leon among others), but due a great result on the field, despite lot of difficulties.
On European morning, they defeated 3-1 (25:17 23:25 25:20 25:20) in Grand Finale in Seoul, despite heavy absences, including Simon and Yant.
Once again top scorer was Lopez, club world champion with brazilian campione powerhouse Sada Cruzeiro (today 20 points, 2 fewer than Turkish Lagumdzija), well supported by Herrera and Roamy Alonso.
A result achieved with merit by the boys of coach Vives, who with patience, also moving on a political level, relaunched one of the most important schools of the international movement.
About Bronze Medal Match, third place to hosts South Korea, who defeated Czech Republic at tie break after a great comeback from 2-0 (19:25, 16:25, 26:24, 25:23, 20:22).
