Poland: First-ever win of foreign club in PlusLiga! Barkom upset Bełchatów! 3 points for Ślepsk and Warszawa in advances of Round 7

One month after the debut of Barkom Każany Lwów in the 2022/23 Polish Plusliga as the first ever foreign club to play in the competition, came their first victory.
And they did it making a sensation by beating PGE Skra Bełchatów in Round 7 of the competition.
This is the first victory of the newcomers from Ukraine this season and the first-ever win of a foreign club in the Polish top division.
The players of Latvian Uģis Krastiņš thus managed to finally prevail in the tie-break in PlusLiga on the fourth attempt.
Partially it was 22:25, 25:23, 25:23, 16:25 and 15:13.
On the other hand, the nine-time Polish champions Bełchatów are in crisis as they suffered their third defeat in a row.
Vasyl Tupchii top-scored for the winners with 16 points, while Serb Aleksandar Atanasijević scored 30 on the other side of the net, while Mateusz Bieniek made as many as 9 blocks!

On the other games of the day, three points for Ślepsk Malow Suwałki, who defeated at home Cuprum Lubin 3-1 (25:19, 15:25, 25:20, 25:22) with 21 points from Bartosz Filipiak, and Projekt Warszawa, who needed just three sets to defeat Cerrad Enea Czarni Radom (25:21, 25:20, 27:25). Setter Jan Firley was named MVP of the match.
