Poland: Three points for Resovia and leaders Jastrzębski on Saturday’s games of Round 9

Other two games valid for Plusliga Round 9 were played today.
Jastrzębski remain perfect after 9 matches, while Resovia down Olsztyn.

Dominating in the two sets against Projekt Warszawa, Jastrzębski Węgiel reached 9-0 after a 1-3 win on the road (11:25, 25:22, 21:25, 16:25).
The current leaders don’t plan to stop soon, and they still remain the only undefeated team in the competition. The hosts took one set from the vice champions in the Polish capital, but the rest of the game was pretty much dominated by the guys around Argentine coach Marcelo Méndez, especially the first and the fourth. The team from Jastrzębie-Zdrój remained the leader of the table with a complete set of wins and points, dropping only three sets in these nine games played so far.
Stéphen Boyer was unstoppable, scoring 31 points through 73% attack (22/30), also adding 5 aces and 4 blocks.

On the second game played today, Asseco Resovia Rzeszów down Indykpol AZS Olsztyn by 3-1 (26:24, 25:23, 23:25, 25:20) to confirm themselves at second place in the standings.
USA National Team member Torey Defalco was named MVP of the match with 22 Points, 60% in attack, 3 aces and 1 block.
