France: Saint Nazaire wreck Narbonne in last game of Round 12

The direct clash for third/fourth place, as well as the game that closed Ligue A 2022/23 Round 12 that supposed to be a battle, ended in just three sets. To celebrate are newcomers Saint Nazaire, able to win on the field of Narbonne by 0-3 (18:25, 18:25, 23:25).

The guests basically controlled all the game. After first two sets, in which there was only one side into the court, in the third Saint Nazaire wasted a 16-21 lead, but eventually they were able to avoid a fourth set, winning 23:25.
The winners were better in almost all elements, with 11 blocks to 4, and 47% vs. only 37% of the home side, who paid the terrible day of opposite Luca Vettori (only 7 points through 27% in attack, blocked 4 times and with one error on 22 attempts), and Jordi Ramon who closed the game with the same number of points and 39%. In Narbonne’s jersey, the only player in double digit was Willner Rivas with 10 points (but only 39% in attack too), while Helder Mendes Spencer top-scored the winners with 14 points, 67% in attack, 5 winning blocks and 1 ace. Kyle Ensing and Laurenço Martins also contributed with 13 (including 3 aces) and 10, respectively.

With this result, the winners boast 24 points in the standings, the same number of Nantes, at -5 from two leaders Tours and Chaumont (29).
