Austria: all results of Round 11

Round 11 of 2022/23 Bundesliga started today, with leaders Hypo Tirol who celebrated a clear 3-0 (25:17, 25:21, 25:17) home win over TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien, going into the Christmas break undefeated. The Winter Champions only lost three points in eleven games played so far! Top scorers of today were Luan Weber with 19 points for the winners, and Jan Stefko (11) for Sokol. On Wednesday the Innsbruck side will play Austrian Volley Cup semi-final against SK Zadruga Aich/Dob, who today lived up to their role as favorites on the field of UVC Holding Graz, beating the rivals in three sets at Raiffeisen Sportpark (25:17, 25:19, 25:19). Now they are third in the standings, at least until Monday, ahead of VCA Amstetten NÖ, who have the same number of points and will face Ried on the road. Top scorers in Graz today were David Reiter with only 8 points for the hosts, and Anastasios Aspiotis with 17 for Aich/Dob.
The surprise team of the season, TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, also gave a convincing performance, beating last-placed VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt 3-0 (25:15, 25:15, 25:19), led by top scorer Dorde Knezevic who ended the game with 17 points. Steven Duzevich scoring 10 for the losing side. For the second-placed Hartbeg, who are six points behind Hypo Tirol, it was the last home match in the BSZ-halle before moving to the renovated Hartberg-halle.
Close the picture defending champions Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel who achieved a 3-1 (25:22, 20:25, 25:17, 27:25) victory on the field of VBC TLC Weiz and they are one point behind Aich/Dob in the standings.
The eleventh round will be concluded on Monday in the Raiffeisen Volleydome with the game between UVC McDonald’s Ried and VCA Amstetten NÖ.
