Austria: leaders Hypo Tirol down Aich/Dob in big match of Round 13. 3 points for Hartberg, Ried and Weiz

Round 13 of 2022/23 Bundesliga has been played today, wating for Sunday postponement between VCA Amstetten NÖ and defending champions Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel who, after today’s results, collapsed to sixth place in the standings.

Leaders Hypo Tirol volleyball team remain undefeated, winning also the big match of the day on the field of Zadruga Aich/Dob. The game ended in just three sets (25:23, 25:15, 26:24)! About 700 fans saw this game played on a high level in the JUFA Arena in Bleiburg. Arthur Nath top-scored the winning side with 18 points through 60% in attack.

TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg also scored three points away.
The surprise team of the season defeated UVC Holding Graz 3-1 (25:27, 27:25, 29:27, 25:22) in a thrilling Styrian derby and is still seven points behind leaders in second place.
UVC McDonald’s Ried lived up to their role as favorites in a duel against VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt, winning in their Raiffeisen Volleydome 3-0 (25:18, 25:18, 25:16). Thus they are at fifth place, only one point behind Aich/Dob and VCA Amstetten NÖ.

VBC TLC Weiz celebrated a 3-1 (16:25, 25:19, 25:22, 25:18) home win over TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien and they are now eighth, three points ahead of their direct rivals in the fight for the last playoff spot!
