Champions League: ZAKSA clearly defeat Aluron in first game of playoffs

The first of the two all-Polish duels in the playoffs, whose winner will go to the quarterfinals of the CEV Champions League Volley 2023 | Men between Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie and Grupa Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle, better known in world of volleyball as ZAKSA, lasted only three sets.

The experience of a two-year defending champions of competition was crucial for the winners, which surprised PlusLiga rivals with an easy victory, 0-3 (23:25, 19:25, 23:25), in their first-ever mutual encounter in any of the European Cups.
Łukasz Kaczmarek helped ZAKSA to take the first step towards advancing to the top 8 with 22 points, while Dawid Konarski scored 13 for Aluron.
Argentine Santiago Danani made 90% reception (10 digs, 40% excellent).
The second leg match is on Wednesday next week.
