Austria: Waldviertel win advance of Round 4 – another defeat for Amstetten

In the opener of Powerfusion Austrian Volley League Round 4, Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel easily won in straight sets at Johann-Pölz-Halle, against the hosts VCA Amstetten NÖ.
Partially it was 25:21, 25:18 and 25:18, and for the winners this was the third win of the new season to consolidate their fourth place in the current charts.
For Amstetten, however, this was a terrible start, as they are at the bottom of the standings without a single point.
Top scorers of the day were Samuel Jackman (15) and Franz Hüther (7) for the hosts, and Koendert Daan Streutker (15 through 59% in attack) and Krzysztof Gulak (13) for Waldviertel.

The others of Round 4 will take place tomorrow, on Saturday. TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien will face at home VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt (4.30 p.m.) and UVC Holding Graz in the Styrian duel VBC TLC Weiz (5.30 p.m.).
TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg will play on the field of UVC McDonald’s Ried (6 p.m.) and defending champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team in the last game of the day will visit SK Zadruga AICH/DOB (7 p.m.).
