Austria: Round 4 is over! 4/4 for Hypo Tirol! Undefeated also Graz and Hartberg

Defending champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team keep their winning streak in the 2023/24 Powerfusion Volley League without losing a single set!
At the end of Round 4, the Innsbruck side won on the field of SK Zadruga Aich/Dob in just three sets, partially 25:18, 15:22 and 25:22, to remain to the top of the current standings ahead of the Styrian teams Graz and Hartberg with the same number of points.
Top scorers in the JUFA Arena were Angelos Mandilaris (13), Kristof Horvath and Miguel Baioa Sinfonio (8 each) for the hosts, and Luan Weber (16) and Niklas Kronthaler (12) for the winners, who also recorded 15 winning blocks decisive for this win.
UVC Holding Graz also continued their successful run, celebrating a not easy home win in the Styria derby against VBC TLC Weiz with the score of 3-1 25:16, 25:16, 18:25, 25:20. The top scorer of the game were Michael Ladner (14) with the jersey of Weiz, followed by his teammate Mark Kremer and Arwin Kopschar from Graz who scored 13 points each. Benedikt Sablatnig and Liam Ochaya also contributed with 12 points.
TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg also scored three points for the fourth time on the ongoing season.
The East Styrians won on the field of UVC McDonald’s Ried after a hard-fought game ended in three sets (26:24, 25:23, 25:18).
TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien celebrated their first victory of the season. Head coach Zeljko Grbic’s team beat VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt 3-1 (25:20, 25:21, 23:25, 25:15) in Wien and is now at fifth place with four points. The top scorers were Raphael Trauth (18) and Boris Nikolic (12) for the winners, and Simon Frühbauer (13) and Michael Klemen (7) on the losing side.
These two will face each other again in the Posthalle on Sunday at 4 p.m. for the Austrian Volley Cup round of 16!
Recall that, on Friday, Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel won the derby in the Johann-Pölz-Halle against last-placed VCA Amstetten NÖ to secure fourth place.
And there are seven games of Austrian Cup Round of 16 scheduled on Sunday!
