Austrian Cup: all results of Round of 16 – Weiz and Klagenfurt out!

An exciting volleyball week concluded on Sunday with 14 duels in the Austrian Volley Cup, men and women, as all quarter-finalists have now been determined.
The favorites are still in the race for the title, but not only.
The quarter-final pairings will be drawn on Monday afternoon in Wien.

In the men’s games, PSVBG Salzburg surprised all volleyball fans with a 3-2 (19:25, 17:25, 25:23, 25:20, 15:11) home win over the Powerfusion VL team VBC TLC Weiz, and they are the only second division teams qualified in a quarter-finals!
As expected, defending champion HYPO TIROL VT had no problem with Union Leibnitz (25:13, 25:16, 25:11) while, in the only top division duel TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien prevail against VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt 25:16, 28:26, 25:23.
UVC McDonald’s Ried struggled more than expected on the field UNIONvolleys Bisamberg-Hollabrunn as
they lose the first set, but then they prevailed 1-3 (29:27, 18:25, 15:25, 19:25).
The other quarter-finalists are TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg, who easily won on tje field of Union VV Döbling (8:25, 19:25, 12:25), Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel, who destroy SSV HIB Liebenau with the same result (9:25, 13:25, 9:25), SK Zadruga Aich/Dob, who won on the field of VC Mils in straight sets too (14:25, 19:25, 22:25) and VCA Amstetten NÖ, who down hotVolleys Wien by 3-1 (25:17, 20:25, 25:17, 25:18) a week ago.
