Poland: Aluron and Lublin closed Round 7 with straight sets victories!

Round 7 of 2023/24 Plusliga has been closed today with last two games played on Monday, in which both winners earned 3 points after their respective straight sets win.
In the first one, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won on the field of KGHM Cuprum Lubin 0-3 (20:25, 24:26, 21:25), with setter Miguel Tavares named MVP of the match. The hosts fought, but it wasn’t enough to prevail over a rival who made the difference above all in blocking, scoring 11 points from this element (4 from Miłosz Zniszczoł) compared to their 3, but also in attack (43% efficiency to 25%). Karol Butryn, Trevor Clevenot and Bartosz Kwolek ended the game in double digit with 14, 12 and points respectively among the winners, while Wojciech Ferens was the only player to reach this result for Lubin with 12 points to his name including 1 block and 52% in attack.
In the evening, BOGDANKA LUK Lublin easily down Ślepsk Malow Suwałki 3-0 (25:20, 25:19, 25:18) led by MVP Alexandre Ferreira, top scorer of the game with 16 points to his name though 48% in attack, 3 aces and 2
winning blocks, well supported by Mateusz Malinowski who also contributed with 13 (53% in attack, 2 aces and 1 block).
Joaquin Gallego, the only player in double digit for the losing side, played really a good game scoring 11 points through 73% in attack and 3 winning blocks, but he wasn’t enough.
Both today’s winners now have 15 points in the current charts, sitting at fourth and fifth place, respectively.
Plusliga will continue on Friday with the advance of Round 8 between No.9 Ślepsk Malow Suwałki and No.3 Trefl Gdańsk.
