Italy: 3 points for Modena in advance of Round 7 – Cisterna defeated in four sets

Round 7 of 2023/24 Superlega CredemBanca started today with the advance between Cisterna Volley and Valsa Group Modena, ended in four sets in favor of the visiting side.
After the success in a direct clash to stay in Italian elite competition against Taranto, a week ago, Cisterna fought but it wasn’t enough to snatch at least one point against the super favorite rivals, able to close the game in four sets, 1-3 (11:25, 25:22, 20:25, 16:25).
Decisive the powerful serves of Modena, who allowed them to easily close the first set 11-25, even if the hosts were able to reopen the game winning second set 25-22.
The third was the decisive one, and Modena earned even a 9-16 lead.
The hosts tried to react, but suffered the performance of Modena above all from the service line (13 aces to their only 3) and the blow of a super Davyskiba (22 points through 61% in attack).
On the field also Michele Baranowicz, who started the season in Bulgaria, but now is back to Cisterna, where he played until the last season.
