Austria: Round 14 starts today – tie break wins for Klagenfurt, Wien, Hartberg and Ried

Round 14 of Powerfusion Austrian Volley League starts today with 4 games, all ended at tie break!
SK Zadruga Aich/Dob had to admit defeat against TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg after leading the set 2-0, but then surrendering at the tie-break (25:19, 25:21, 22:25, 23:25, 12:15). The runner-up therefore missed the chance to jump to fourth place.
TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg was able to secure second place and is now three points behind champions HYPO TIROL volleyball team and three ahead of Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel, which has played two more games (14).
Waldviertel, in fact, suffered a defeat on the field of TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien, 2-3 (23:25, 25:15, 25:18, 20:25, 11:15) who, on the other hand, consolidated seventh placez
The fight for the last quarter-final ticket has become even more intense, as VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt was able to move up to eighth place, defeating their direct rivals VCA Amstetten NÖ in the Johann-Pölz-Halle 3-2 (18:25, 25:21, 25:23, 21:25, 17:15). Both teams have eight points after 13 games, but the Carinthians have one more win!
On Sunday they welcome Sokol at 4.30 p.m. local time.
Last-placed VBC TLC Weiz suffered a bitter home defeat against UVC McDonald’s Ried, 2-3 (21:25, 26:24, 25:23, 16:25, 14:16). Weiz led 13:8 and then also 14:11 in the tie-break, but didn’t manage to close the game and a win over the sixth-placed team would have put them back in the fight for eighth place.
In the first of two Sunday games, defending champions and undefeated HYPO TIROL will play on the field of UVC Holding Graz at 3:30 p.m.
