Austria: straight sets win for top 4 in penultimate Round of Regular Season!

Regular season of 2023/24 Powerfusion Austrian Volley League is almost over with all games of Round 17, the penultimate one, played today.
Undefeated defending champion HYPO TIROL volleyball team is only one step away from winning the regular season as they destroyed VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt with a clear 3-0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:17) in front of their home fans. Head coach Stefan Chrtiansky used some of their back-up players, and top scorer of the game was 19-year-old Finn Örley with 13 points.
In a delayed match of Round 7 on Sunday, they can secure first place with a win over TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien!
TSV Raiffeisen Hartberg is four points behind the defending champions, after defeating last-placed VBC TLC Weiz with the same result (25:10, 25:11, 25:18).
In the fight for third place, Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel are the favorites, as they won today, in straight sets too (26:24, 25:18, 25:22), against UVC Holding Graz and remain one point ahead of SK Zadruga Aich/Dob.
The Graz team are now out of the race for third place, and they’ll play on the field of Hartberg for a delayed match of Round 15.
Runner-up SK Zadruga Aich/Dob won in Ried, 3-0 (26:24, 28:26, 25:20).
Since the beginning of the year, the players from TJ Sokol V/Post SV Wien have been causing a sensation with strong performances and, today, they achieved another success in the clash with VCA Amstetten NÖ, celebrating a 3-1 win (25:19, 17:25, 25:20, 25:18), penalized by the flu. Sokol is now only two points behind sixth-placed Ried!
