CEV Cup: Arkas and Fenerbahçe to semifinals! Olympiacos and Maaseik eliminated.

Turkish powerhouses Fenerbahçe Parolapara and Arkas Spor secured their spots in 2023/24 CEV Cup semifinals following their respective victories against Belgium’s Greenyard Maaseik and Olympiacos Piraeus, from Greece. Fenerbahçe showcased a dominant performance in their quarter-final rematch, sweeping Greenyard Maaseik 3-0 at the Burhan Felek Vestel Volleyball Hall. With set scores of 25:20, 25:20, and 25:15, they replied their first match victory in Belgium , solidifying their place in the semifinals, with 61% of team performance in attack and 18 points from top scorer Kaan Gürbüz (65% in attack, with 1 ace and 2 winning blocks).
On the other game, Arkas Spor emerged victorious against Olympiacos in the quarterfinals return match with a 3-0 (25:23, 25:22, 25:21) win, overcoming
their initial defeat in Greece, ended at tie break.
To make the difference 11 winning blocks (only 3 for Olympiacos), and 22 points from absolute top scorer Efe Mandiraci (with 3 winning blocks through 56% in attack).
