Italy: 3 points for Monza in advance of Round 21

Mint Vero Volley Monza won at Padova’s Kioene Arena the advance of 2023/24 Superlega CredemBanca or, if you prefer, Round 10 of second leg, with the score of 1-3 (20:25; 20:25; 25:23; 12:25), in little less than an hour and a half of play.
To make the difference a good correlation block-defense and an effective performance from the service line, with 11 aces, 8 only from Canadian Eric Loeppky, also top scorer and MVP of the game with 22 points to his name.
Double digit also for their fellow countrymen Stephen Maar and Arthur Szwarc, who also contributed with 12 points each.
Monza won first two sets without major problems but, in the third one, the hosts of Pallavolo Padova
were better in the last points, before succumbing to the rivals in a four set in which they scored only 12 points.
With this win, Monza rise to the fifth place in the standings, alone with 36 points, waiting for tomorrow’s game of the rivals Rana Verona and Allianz Milano: the first one will play on the field of Cisterna Volley while the second one, away too, on the field of Gioiella Prisma Taranto.
Temporarily, they are also at -1 from Cucine Lube Civitanova and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, who will face each others tomorrow, in the big match that will open Italian volleyball Sunday.
