Italy: Theo Faure to Cisterna until 2026!

The opposite of the French national team, permanently at the top of the ranking of the best scorers in Italian Superlega in the season of his debut, 2023/24, has extended his contract with Cisterna Volley.
“The objective of the Cisterna entrepreneurs was to take to the field and create a sports project that could grow and consolidate over time in such a demanding category as the volleyball Superlega,” explains Cristina Cruciani, one of the Cisterna Volley partners, expressing the thought of all the entrepreneurs who support the Club. “The renewal of Theo Faure’s contract and its extension with such a long-term deadline testify to our willingness to believe strongly in this project.”
The player is one of the authentic protagonists in this Superlega season given that, right from the start, he is permanently at the top of the ranking of the best scorers. “The level of the Italian Superlega is very high and I can say that I feel very comfortable in Cisterna because I can work and continue my growth path: I also feel at ease in the city and I must say that there are all the elements to improve also in the future” declared Theo Faure who, in addition to being an athlete, is also an engineering student at Insa Toulouse, the university where he is attending the degree course in materials physics.
“We are very satisfied with this contract extension and I would like to underline that this is an important message because Faure is a player who has grown a lot in his first season and certainly has ample room for improvement,” adds sporting director Candido Grande.
“We are in the Olympic year and the Games are held in France, all the elements are there to see his appeal continue to grow. Theo is a hard worker and has achieved these important results thanks to his constant commitment. He has worked hard this season, he has immediately integrated well into this beautiful group that we have created and it would be very nice to be able to confirm all this group of professionals and continue to work with them.”
